Trying to coax a smile out of her

From the first day

Imperial Stout (greatest picture ever)

Michael is super daddying it up.

Oi!

Thanks to Christine for this outfit fit for a pit rat. It's lasted through 2 kids. (Delia above, 3/22/12; Dylan below, 10/31/09)

Thug life

Random cuteness

A special surprise at :15, and first smiles at :22.

Delia, oh Delia...

"No, Dee Dee"

Delia sleeps in a co-sleeper next to our bed (pictured below). It is the perfect size for a newborn. It is not the perfect size for a 2 and 1/2 year old AND a newborn. But Dylan insisted that I place his sister in there with him before he got out. And so I did.
Delia: Help!
Delia: No, really, help!

He was allowed to go in the co-sleeper...until he started doing this. Now those privileges have been revoked (sorry Ellen!)

Happy birthday to me!

For my birthday, Mike and Dylan went out and got me donuts from Demet's down the street from us in Medford. Dylan had 3 donuts. 3! Raised sugar, old fashioned, and boston cream (he eats anything with chocolate from the top down. It's very odd to witness.)
We went to Red Bones for my birthday lunch. Dee Dee slept the whole time, and I love her for that. You can see the plate of ribs on the right side of the picture.
Dylan did pretty well. He ate some chicken fingers and fries and tried an arnold palmer (half lemonade, half iced tea - they make kids cups by filling a take out container and poking a hole in the top for the straw (in the forefront) - ingenious!) But here and in the following photos he's just eating ketchup.
I call this the "in the ketchup zone" stare.
It was the best birthday ever, mostly because I got to spend it with my family.

Totally adorable

Dylan is funny

He loves doing this. Weirdo.
He also likes doing this and running around the house. Double weirdo.
And he's been doing this, too. I'm jealous.

Are you ready for your close up, Cordelia June?

It's so exhausting being so adorable.
Flashback to Dylan in December 2009.

Family time

Lounging around in the bed. She's 9 days old.

Dylan's new phrase

Dylan has learned a new phrase: "No, Dee Dee." It means: "No [that belongs to] Dee Dee." Example number 1: her Moses Basket. It's way too small for Dylan, but just the right size for Dee Dee.
