His first ride (ended badly)

He loved this little ride...until we put the quarters in and it started moving. He couldn't get out of there fast enough.

Franklin Park Zoo

I've been taking Tuesdays off this summer, and we've been doing stuff around the city. We went to the Franklin Park Zoo on one of the hottest days of summer. Whoops. But it was a fun day.

Giraffes!
Can a please take this dumb safari hat off now? Haven't you gotten enough pictures yet?
Dylan is always authorized personnel.
Flamingos! We couldn't get him to stand on one foot. But maybe next time.

Disturbing Gorilla

We weren't disturbing the gorilla, the gorilla was disturbing to us.
Hey look, Dylan, there's a gorilla.
What's he going to get? And why did he put on that cape?
He went to get a snack. It was a disturbing snack. But it was nice that he looked at the camera!
Let me out of this crazy money house!

Ribs flipbook

We ate ribs. On June 28. It's been a great and busy summer and the blog has taken a hit. But it's back now! And full of ribs!
Gnam!

Salty! Drink some milk.
Dylan took a karaoke break. He sang Ring Around the Rosie with the alternate lyrics he and his father made up.

Wait, what am I eating again? It comes from where on the Mo? (he calls cows "mo," not moo.)
Whatever! It tastes good. I'll gnaw some more.

Dylan is trying to make a call on his cornbread phone.

Eating cornbread and ribs is apparently hilarious.

Dylan's Baseball Book

He's getting good at pointing out the baseballs. He also enjoys high-fiving the celebrating players at the end of the book.

Lying down on the job

Doing some lite reading

Balloon dog

He got it from some clown.

Somerville Family Fun Day: the train

I forgot to take a picture of the train we were riding, but it's blue like Thomas and has a whistle and everything, though admittedly, it is a diesel (and it doesn't run on rails). We went on about 75 times until the Somerville Family Fun Day was over.

Somerville Family Fun Day

I forgot to take a picture of the actual firetruck, but we're in one. (See the "SOM.F.D." flashlight?)

He's driving.

Chips and Salsa

Oh yeah, he's an expert. And if I hadn't asked for the mild pupusa sauce, he would have continued to dip his chips in the spicy salsa and suffered because he just loves dipping chips that much.
